Les Owen

Leslie Owen

LES OWEN is a Director of Owen, Adendorff & Associates (Pty) Ltd, Isiqwayi People Management (Pty) Ltd.  He is an arbitrator with the Association for Dispute Resolution and Tokiso.  He is one of 10 part-time Senior Commissioners with the CCMA in Durban.

He practices as a professional Negotiator, Mediator and Arbitrator.  He facilitates joint ventures between Black Economic Empowerment organizations and established white owned businesses.

He is an accredited trainer of International mediators with the Centre for Conflict Resolution at the University of Cape Town.

Les has a degree from the University of Natal and is a part time lecturer for the University of KwaZulu-Natal’sGraduate School of Business.

As a result of research undertaken for the European Union, he contributed to the books “SA  The Good News", and “Miracles that are Changing a Nation". Les is a registered Assessor through the ETDP ETQA.

In the past 15 years over 2000 individuals have attended his training courses, half of whom have participated in his Negotiating skills courses.  He has recently been commissioned to write a book on Negotiations.

Norman Adendorff

Norman AdendorffNORMAN ADENDORFF is a graduate of Cape Town and Natal Universities. He is a Director of Owen, Adendorff & Associates (Pty) Ltd and Isiqwayi People Management (Pty) Ltd.

He operated in the Human Resources field in the Corporate Sector for some seventeen years, holding senior group positions. Over the past nineteen years he has specialised in Industrial Relations providing both consulting and training services. He has extensive experience in all aspects of management consulting and HR development. He has direct experience in African countries outside South Africa, having worked in both Swaziland and Malawi.

He lectures on a part time basis to the MBA students at the Graduate School of Business at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Norman was an ‘A’ level part time Commissioner at the CCMA for a period of four years.

Paulos Ngcobo

Paulos NgcoboPAULOS NGCOBO is a Non-Executive Director of the Company. He was formerly a Regional Secretary of COSATU and now serves as a member of parliament for the KZN legislature and sits on the Board of several organizations.

 

 

Winston Owen

Winston OwenWINSTON OWEN has a BA Honours degree in from University of Natal, Durban. He also has a diploma in Industrial Relations. He has been a member of the Owen, Adendorff team since 1997.

Winston is currently specialising in the strategic implementation of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment. He is an active member of the BEE Verification Agency forum of KZN.

Winston is a part time lecturer at Unischool in Human Resources and in the Fundamentals of Business Management. He also facilitates various Training courses in the area of people skills and management. He is a registered Skills Development Facilitator, assisting companies from various SETA’s in the development and submission of Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs). His other areas of focus include Team Development, Team Working and Employment Equity compliance.

Lance Meiring

Lance Meiring

LANCE MEIRING has a Degree in Industrial Labour Studies and Sociology (1996) and an Honours Degree in Sociology (1999) (University of Natal), a  Diploma in Human Resources Management, and is currently undertaking an MBA at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Graduate School of Business.

A member of the Owen Adendorff team since 2003, Lance is a Senior Remuneration Consultant with P-E Corporate Services. As such he is a specialist in Job Evaluation, Training of Grading Committees, Salary Benchmarking, Performance Management, Executive Pay and Remuneration Policy

Robyn Adendorff

Robyn AdendorffROBYN ADENDORFF did her initial studies at the University of Stellenbosh and completed them through UNISA, graduating with a BA Degree in Communications and Industrial Psychology.

As a consultant her focus is:-

  • Job Competency Profiling and Assessment.
  • Job Evaluation and Salary Benchmarking
  • Recruitment, Selection and Placements

She has been working for Owen, Adendorff and Associates since March of 2006.

Siphiwe Nkabinde

Siphiwe

SIPHIWE NKABINDE is an associate of Owen, Adendorff & Associates (Pty) Ltd conducting disciplinary hearings and facilitating diversity training. Siphiwe was employed by Unilever from 1979 to 2001. In 1993 he moved from Quality Assurance into Human Resources. He developed as a Human Resources Officer and Practitioner in Unilever until June 2001. He continued as a Human Resources practitioner with Quality Products (employing 300 employees plus outsourced labourers) from 2001 and in 2010 left to pursue his career as a consultant and facilitator.

Siphiwe has extensive community involvement through the Methodist Church (for whom he chairs a number of groups and ministries) and the KwaMashu Child & Family Welfare Society in and around KwaMashu (with whom he holds Board Member responsibilities). Siphiwe also holds a Certificate in Theology and is active as a Lay Preacher on the Methodist preaching circuit (Umgeni Circuit).

Siphiwo (Peace) Mjwara

Peace

PEACE MJWARA is employed as a Research Assistant conducting research on behalf of the consulting team in the following areas:-

* Economic Indices

* Wage and Salary trends

* Employment Equity

* Legislative developments and updates

* Labour Relations Case Law

* Skills development

In addition he assists in the company’s website marketing.
